A day late and a dollar short

yanks defeat.jpgOnly found out the Yanks lost around 11 am today.  Am delivering a boat to Florida and the satellite TV went out somewhere around Norfolk, VA a couple of days ago.  We were still getting our cell phone signal as we rounded Cape Hatteras the night before last, so I was able to access the internet and get the ESPN game cast.

When Johnny Damon got that three run home run, I was convinced the Yankees were going to pull it off.  If Joba hadn't succumbed to post season pressure, the Yanks would have been up 2 games to 1.

After Wang's game one melt down, I was convinced Torry would pitch Mussina for game 4.  After all, Mike had been motivated by the harsh reality that if he didn't pitch, he was superfluous.  And Wang had such a lousy game one outing, I just didn't see pitching him on 3 days rest.

Anyway, it's all history now.  Get out the golf clubs.

A-rod, please finish your career as a Yankee, your monument will be amazing next to the other Yankee greats...
