RIP Runt
Back in the states, it took her about 5 minutes to adapt. Having had 4 brothers to compete with for the first 8 weeks of her life, our 3 other cats were no competition. She quickly took over.
Our intention was to keep her as an inside cat, but there was no stopping her. Whenever she spotted a chance to make it out the door, she'd was off like a shot. It was only a few days before she was completely comfortable coming and going; she'd never go far.
Sadly, she must have gotten into some poison outside somewhere. Though she'd only been missing for a few hours, when we found her she was already dead. I can't imagine where she would have gotten poison from, but my Mom saw her with a mouse earlier. The mouse might have been poisoned, who knows...
She was very much a part of us and we're going to miss her something terrible...
